coloring!

I am an artist. It's what I do.
I've never been athletic. I have never been coordinated enough to cheer or dance.
And I am definitely not musically inclined.
I create. I paint. I photograph.
It's just what I do. It's my soul, my heart, onto paper.
It's really been the one thing my whole life that I've fully been good at.

As I have said before, I am professionally a photographer. I love what I do. I really enjoy the people I work with. I believe God blessed me with the best job anyone could ask for.

But if there was one thing that I had to choose besides this to do for the rest of my life it would be to paint. I would paint all the time if I could make a living off of it. Ha ha.
Through Ggallery I had the chance to meet Jessica and make a wonderful friend! I've taken pictures of Jessica's daughter Tatum since she was 3 months old (she is now 2!). Jessica is also the owner of the world's cutest boutique Sparkles. Before she opened up Sparkles, Renee (Ggallery Owner/My boss) and I ran down to see the store. While there I got to talking with Jessica and painting came up in conversation. I told her how my first love is painting. My favorite medium is acrylic on canvas. She had talked about how she can paint on just about anything but canvas. She had bought a canvas and just couldn't figure out what to do with it. She asked if I could paint something for her. From that conversation came painting paintings to help decorate her wonderful store! I am now selling custom paintings through Jess and Sparkles. Please visit Sparkles online at www.JJsparkles.blogspot.com
and in person at 17431 State Hwy 155, Flint, Tx 75762.

Oh and Ps. I also created the layout for her blog.

bad blogger...

I know. I know. I win the award for World's Worst Blogger.
I really need to get on the ball!
Life - It may not be so chaotic but keeps me busy enough to forget a lot of things.
I have never been the most organized person, except when it came it my computer. I'm so weird with things like that. I can't have a billion different icons on my desktop. Everything has to be in a certain file with its own label. Everything must (and I mean MUST) be in alphabetical order. All my icon must be in a certain order and if I have more than one row it has to be an even number. That brings me to another point. I'm so weird! When counting things, or just in general I guess, I have to have an even number. It CANNOT be an odd number. I guess because of how unorganized the rest of my life is and how not in control of other areas I am, this is the one area I have absolute control over... well... almost absolute control.
So label me "COOCD" (Computer Only Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
So to conclude... I probably just made myself sound crazy. I'm really not. I promise!

Ps... Stay tuned in for future posts. Examples of my paintings are on their way!

*sparkles*

I have a friend (Jessica) that I've taken pictures her little girl since she was 6 months old. (she's now 2!) Anyway, last October she opened the cutest little boutique. Before she officially opened I had gone out to see the store and we talked for a while. We started talking about painting...(her main sell in the store is hand-painted furniture)...she had a couple canvases and didn't know what to do with them. Well I had mentioned that I paint, aside from taking pictures. I painted a few paintings for her to hang in the store and from that I am now selling paintings through Sparkles boutique.
All of that to say I just finished designing her blog tonight.
Take a look at it! You'll love her work!

Other than taking pictures I also do a lot of their graphic work.
I made the layout to our blog.
Here is an example of what it looks like...
